SSVF 2014 Data Standard Info and Sample Froms

October 1, 2014

Data Export for September – To allow SSVF programs to correctly export their September data during the first weeks of October we have delayed the update to ServicePoint until October 16th.

You will need to collect that new and continuing client’s data so that it can be updated after October 16th. We are providing example forms that will help you collect the needed data for new clients or updates between October 1 and the 16th.

Some of the changes – There are significant changes in SSVF data collection requirements. The changes include how services are recorded and other changes. As soon as possible after the 16th we will schedule training on the specifics of SSVF data entry into ServicePoint.

The new Standards, effective October 1st, require we create separate SSVF providers for those clients who entered the SSVF program as literally homeless and those who entered the SSVF program for Homeless Prevention.

The designation of which CoC the client is in has changed with the new standards. It no longer requires that there be separate providers for each CoC. Where SSVF programs have operated in both Maine CoCs there may be an opportunity to consolidate the two CoC providers. We will need to coordinate those consolidations and creating the new SSVF providers after October 16th.

Sample SSVF data collection forms – These sample forms are designed to detail the new fields and data requirements for meeting the October 2014 HUD/ SSVF data standards as implemented in ServicePoint.
